Get my pies outta the oven! |
I DO! Very excited, the wife is taking me out tonight for Father’s Day to a nice Indian restaurant that’s gotten rave reviews from others in the family. She cannot stand the stuff, she will sometimes eat Chicken Tikka Masala and that’s about it which is really not Indian anyway, so it’s nice of her to do this for me.

Wonderful food (I grew up near Devon and Western in Chicago, tons of Thali, Buffet, etc, just love Indian food).

I enjoy Indian food, I don’t have it very often as the nearest decent Indian restaurant is 30 miles away.

Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged! |
I can tolerate Indian food and know what things I like, but it's not something I ever have on my own, just when I'm with Indian people or if someone really wants Indian food. I've been to India three times. Eat one wrong thing at one wrong place and you will shit your brains out.

I love Indian food, especially the chicken dishes and channa masala. And the various naan breads. But I won't eat at a buffet. Fry bread is pretty standard fare here when the family gets together. It can get pretty bizarre from there. I love it. I cook Palak Paneer, Aloo Gobi and a few other things fairly frequently. Wish I didn’t hate frying things so much, because I made Samosas that were really good one time. There once was an Indian grocery across from my old office that had a chaat (snack) bar in the back and they had some really fun stuff.

I love it. I don’t eat it often and I’ve never cooked it myself but I’m a fan. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

Chicken Muglai is my current go to. The spices in Indian food are delicious.

Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged! |
It's safe if you are immune to the biologicals that contaminate the water in India, similar to Mexico. If you are not you have to be relentless about what you consume.

and every one of them words rang true and glowed like burnin’ coal. |
I enjoy Indian food, but rarely crave it. Before COVID, some coworkers and I would frequent an Indian buffet. It has the standard faire (samosas, pakoras, tandoori). One time, they had Indian Chicken wings. They were the best wings that I’ve ever had. Generally, I will not eat at a vegetarian restaurant unless it is Indian. At least I know the food will have flavor.

I love Indian food in all it's incarnations from the yogurt based sauces in the north to fiery hot tomato based sauces in the south. SidS, a long time member who has not posted in forever turned us on to a couple of Indian cookbooks that have been great Check out 660 Curries. We have not found a bad recipe yet __________________________ Writing the next chapter that I've been looking forward to.

I think these posters are eating Indian food in the United States, not India. We have a great place, but the chef is actually Pakistani, so there is beef, lamb, and goat. Chicken, too. It is one of our favorite places. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.
