Never been to one. But I guess I should try one out at some point if they are so big it makes the news.

I live near I-10 and I wanted a Buc-ees to be built near me and then I thought about it. If they built a Buc-ees near me, I would eat myself to death. I love and hate Buc-ees. If we pass one, I go grocery shopping there. I'll drop 500 bucks on food, and decor without realizing I am doing it. Buc-ees is crack to the fat man.

They are nice stops, plenty of pumps, no Semi's allowed, half is Cracker Barrell style with all kinds of things you don't need to buy.

Brisket is pretty good, and the beef jerky is amazing plenty of different flavors

One of the top draws is clean large restrooms, once you let your wife take a break there on a road trip you won't be allowed to pass one up

How about RVs, are they allowed? And how good is their pricing and do they have ethanol free gas?

With 75 pumps, you'd think you could pull right up to one? Nope! Still had to wait for a pump.

They do have clean large restrooms...

But, it's a gas station. It's not my destination. My objective when getting gas is to get in and out quickly. I found it too large and too crowded for my preference.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I was on a day trip yesterday, so I stopped at the same one coming and going.

Gas is usually cheaper there, and it is $7.50 per 50 lbs bag of deer corn - cheapest I can find it in my area. Great place for quick food, snacks, family friendly atmosphere, bathroom, people watching, etc.

The first one is supposed to break ground in Wisconsin next Spring. I think off the freeway SW of Milwaukee, generally.

Our thing here is Kwik Trip, not a Buccee’s, but some good food options.

There was one built on I-25, south of Loveland. It’s probably been open for two years now, and we’ve still never stopped. I have some level of curiosity, and I’ve heard about enticing things like very good beef brisket, but it’s location, and the timing of most of our trips down that way, just don’t match up well.

Their BBQ sandwich's aren't bad. I"ve had their briskent and 3 meat sandwich. Which is pulled, pork, Brisket and smoked sausage. Tasty.

And god the wall of beef jerkey.

Believe it is not, the coolest deal at Buc-ee’s is bagged ice: a $1 gets you 10 pounds, $2 gets you 20 pounds. It’s cold even, not that watery crap from those stand alone ice vending buildings like Koolerice.

Buc-ee’s has way more stuff than Cracker Barrel. Buc-ee’s outdoor recreation section isn’t bad. A red 6-gallon “water” jug is about $25.

I have yet to have an issue finding an open pump except for DEF. DEF is only available at maybe 8 pumps, they don’t have RV parking, so people with trailers just leave them at the pumps.

Very low prices, and a choice of a couple ethanol free octanes. Cleanest restrooms I have ever seen in a public setting.

I stopped at one many years ago down in TX. I remember being reasonably impressed, but give me a roadside gas station with a cooler outside and a gallon jar of pickled eggs on the counter and I'll take it every time.

Buc-ees will go the way of Cabelas and so many other companies. Expand, expand, expand, expand...oh wait...maybe this isn't a good idea...too late.

When travelling, the clean restrooms are the Ritz Carlton of Gas Station Rest Room Stops. Your wife will know you love her when you plan your trip to stop at Buc-ees.

For shopping, it's like all the stores inside an airport terminal.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
