So our washing machine is on the fritz for the third time since we have owned it for about 13 years. It is finally time to replace it and the dryer. I started trying to look up all the reviews about washer ratings and my wife actually said, “Does SigForum have any recommendations?”

I remember a brand mentioned here, but couldn’t remember the name. After a quick search I found it was Speed Queen. We found a local appliance store who sells them and are getting a front end loader. Unfortunately with COVID it will take about two months before we get it. Our refrigerator is also very old and having problems so we also bought a BOSCH stainless refrigerator.

Can’t wait to get them in. I love all the good knowledge and advice here.

I appreciate the feedback about Bosch. This may change what other appliances we get. Thank you and I would love more opinions. We need to replace oven, microwave, stovetop, and dishwasher.

Bosch dishwashers are amazing. I know several relatives and friends that have them as well as myself. If this one ever dies, I will get another one. Not sure about the refrigerators, but they are tops in dishwashers.

Also, for microwaves, it is hard to beat Panasonic. My parents last one lasted 30 years and they love the new one. I have a sharp slide out type, but only because it came with the house.

Not sure about current models but very pleased with our mid range Bosch dishwasher for the past 10-15 years. Would buy again. Also pleased with our SQ digital front load washer - several years of use now.

One thing I liked about the Bosch microwave we saw is that can double as a second small convention oven or a microwave which I thought was pretty cool.

Don't buy one at a box store, they are cheap price point versions.

Get a good Bosch/Thermador at an actual appliance store.

They ARE different.

Had 2 Bosch mid level dishwashers. One lasted ten years before the heating element shit the bed and was replaced by another one. While I think the stacking design could be better they get the dishes amazing cleaner than my past dishwashers (GE) and are quiet and reliable.

Do not buy Samsung anything.
I have a dishwasher that has been repaired 8 times under warranty.
Each service call took 2 weeks to get an incompetent boob out to fix at it.
Then they had to wait on parts.

Yeah we are buying the appliances from a local family owned store that specializes only in high end appliances.

My current house came with a Samsung dishwasher. I am the odd one that loves most things Samsung.
This dishwasher is a pile of shit. When it finally gives up the ghost, it’ll be replaced with a Bosch. I installed a Bosch in our house in Washington. It was trouble free for ten years and when we sold the house looked as new as the day I installed it.
