Glad I retired before cell phone cameras. He’s old school from back when you could either chew them out or nicely hand them a summons but you had to pick one because doing both was a no no. When he let the nitwit go it felt like old times.

I’ve been laughing at the “mini-vans of Justice” videos that have been circulating on social media. Where the rented mini-vans roll up to a protest or vandalism in progress, dudes in multi cam roll out, drag the suspects back to the van and drive off.

^^^we used to have a gold minivan the chief/staff used for stuff, moving a tv and DVD player, going grocery shopping for a family out on their luck..unmarked.

Sometimes we would have a guy in the van with a radio just drive around looking for people with warrants and the van would call us in on them...then we started riding in the van too...it was a great tool!

You could roll right up to people in the projects. I mean right next to em and slide the door open and jump out on em. GOTCHA.
