Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz was chased out of a DC restaurant by protesters on Monday night, according to video posted on Twitter.

Two videos were posted by “Smash Racism DC” and they show a large group of protesters chanting “We believe survivors” in reference to sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh at Sen. Cruz and his wife, Heidi Cruz.

One video shows a protester confronting Sen. Cruz and his wife as they entered the restaurant. Sen. Cruz tells the woman “God bless you” before attempting to take a seat at a table.

After the protesters surround the table, Sen. Cruz tells Mrs. Cruz, “Let’s go ahead and go” and puts on his jacket to leave.

“Vote no on Kavanaugh!” one protester screams. “Cancel Kavanaugh for women’s rights.”

Toward the end of a video, a restaurant employee can be heard asking the protesters to leave because the area is a “private space.”

A spokesperson for Sen. Cruz did not immediately return a request for comment.

I just don't get it. If I'm a restaurant owner, no one, and I do mean no one, regardless their beliefs or ideology, is going to disrupt my restaurant and bother my paying customers. That establishment Democrats like Feinstein and Pelosi now wholly embrace this mass delusion of “guilt by accusation” is not merely disgusting and abhorrent to our republic; it readily demonstrates the extreme danger that Democrats now pose to civil society.

In effect, Democrats are now demonstrating why they disqualify themselves from participating in any civil society. Their behavior is an affront to human civilization and the very foundations of the western world. A powerful history lesson in “mob rule” is unfolding before our eyes, and it is a train wreck of unprecedented magnitude, revealing the soulless, unscrupulous brew of left-wing character assassinations and personal smears that now characterize nearly every significant political move by the desperate Left.

They generally don't get Capitol Police escorts unless they're in the leadership. Most of their daily travels around the Hill are either secure buildings or in between them with lots of Cap. Police around. But even the Cap. Police escorts won't step in unless a protectee is being threatened. I think Pam Bondi (AG of FL) has been confronted a few times in public and to the point that the protester's yelling was getting spittle on her, and her state police escorts didn't step in.

The terrorists on the left (and if you look up the word in the dictionary, they are terrorists by definition) pick and choose where this stuff goes on. You notice they never try this stuff in places like Kentucky. Why? Because they know that if they do, they are for sure going to jail, and if they get in the officer/troopers face and Lord forbid lay hands on the officer/trooper, they are going to the ER for sure. Terrorism is not freedom of speech, and disorderly conduct statues are pretty clear that is disorderly conduct.

And you can say "Well, that's what they want to generate video of police brutality" blah, blah, blah, but local judges frown upon this type of stuff. Juries really frown upon it because they don't take kindly to bullshit.
