Yep - we had a pretty decent view. Took the whole family out to see it.

Yes! Clear here tonight as it is most nights. Big Grin

I’ve been watching those two all summer long anyway. Wish I had a telescope, though.

We actually had a clear night, and saw it with both the naked eye and binoculars. However, all of the street lights in the neighborhood were on and so were everybody's Christmas lights. Too much light pollution to break out the spotting scope and look at it.

In other words, it was underwhelming.

Yes indeed! Caught the "Christmas Star" (to the naked eye) with the family using binoculars as well as my Celestron 102mm refractor. Jupiter, four of it's moons and a clearly defined Saturn and its rings all clustered together!

Heavy overcast & rain since noon here. At least we're within 0.6" of our normal rain fall now.

We've been watching it each night since the 18th as they drew closer and closer together...very romantic Wink.
My attempts at photography did not work out, unfortunately. It was not the equipment, it was me. I did pretty accidentally get a decent video on the 18th.
We had our granddaughter (now can say "the older one") over to look in the "little scope" but I doubt she actually saw anything. At least we have a photo of her looking.

I tried, but did not see it. I could see the Moon, but not any stars at all. Must have been some high clouds. Bummer! Something happens on my birthday and I miss it.

We saw it surprisingly well considering the moonlight It was a little low in the sky, so did we get a little free magnification from the Earth's atmosphere?

I saw it but the binoculars were pretty crappy. The other problem was light pollution from part of town almost exactly in line with the two planets. Combine those two things with being low on the horizon it was not good viewing.
