Every year we have a little Super Bowl party at my in-laws and I do the cooking most of the time, this year I’m trying Cincinnati Chili being with the Bengals in it.

Just simmered it for 3 hours, will serve it tonight over the traditional spaghetti with kidney beans, diced onion and shredded cheddar on the side.

I made this a few years ago and really liked it, it’s very very different than your typical chili.

What are you all making if you’re doing the Super Bowl?

Chili and Taco's for our get together. I will be happy with either Victor. Slight edge to the Bengals though.

We are hosting our church small group. Mrs 4MUL8R is enjoying the excitement of prepping the home for guests. Cuban sliders, beer, wine, charcuterie, and good friends. Friends are bringing shrimp salad, chicken chili soup, and who knows what else. Me, I'm practicing my fiddle and enjoying a few brews while she fiddles about the downstairs.

Going to the in-laws, having boiled crawfish. I don't know about appetizers and snacks other than we're bringing some cheese. Boiled crawfish.

Chicken fajitas just went into the sous vide for a couple of hours so all I'll have to do is Sautee veggies and sear the chicken.

I get it. NFL has gotten too big for their britches. Multi millionaires, many who are blatantly obnoxious. Not all, there's a few good guys. But still, it's such a spectacle it's hard for ME to turn away.

So it's crab meat appetizers, then a healthy salad, followed by an obnoxiously unhealthy chilly hot dog or two. I saw some cheese cake in the frig, so I'm guessing the comes out around the third quarter. I'll sleep uneasy, but a good sit-down will cure most of that.

Don't miss the puppy bowl. Far less contrived than that other show, and the players are far more appealing.
