snwghstAnyone else notice spam calls have stopped?
Nope.
I get 4-6 calls a day and often that many text messages. All on my work phone. I’ve never gotten many on my personal phone but it’s locked down, firewalled, VPN etc

arfmelI haven’t noticed any reduction.
I don’t answer calls from numbers that aren’t in my contacts. And if the mystery caller doesn’t leave a message, I block their number.

PHPaulCalls have dropped off a bit, but it pre-dates the Iran thing.
Spam posts on other boards and spam in my email is WAY up. It had almost disappeared from my email and now it's at least one a day, almost always for a magic credit card or a phishing expedition for my Amazon Prime data.
A couple of boards I frequent have been absolutely inundated, 10 or 20 posts in a row. Mods are pulling their hair out.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

GustoferMine stopped last September. 20+ calls/texts per day (most of which were election related) at all hours of the day and night.
I finally said fuck it and locked down my phone to only contacts. Life has been much more peaceful. Looking at the "Unknown Caller" file, though, there's still a shit ton of them getting sent. They just no longer bother me.
Can you imagine having an old time landline and having to deal with that shit? There oughta be a law!

I'm curious -- what do those places do, if you do not have a cell phone?

220-9erStill getting them, as I have for the last three months or so.
They started as Medicare Advantage calls and now have a few final expense insurance, trolling for auto accident victims that don't already have a lawyer, and miscellaneous others mixed in.
I get 10-20 a day normally.

rotts4uIf you truly want to get rid of all Robo and spam calls download (and buy) the App Called No Robo Max. Its $75 a year but it answers all your calls that are not in your contact list. Then makes them press a number Key if they do that right, it asks for their name which it records and plays to you while the caller waits. Then you can answer or not. The hassle is to your callers if you are in a professional role where customers etc have to go through this screening process.

stiabLike many others who have replied, I have seen no decrease. Still 4 to 5 on a typical day.

No thanks, I have this thing about pagers. Just don’t trust them.

???? Nothing revealed except (possibly) your first name and the time that your table was ready.
Caution is fine, but be reasonable.
