I get the DQ chicken fingers and gravy basket, good stuff. We didn't even realize they had a stake version.

I showed that vid to the wife a couple days or so ago and she is going to attempt some. But we are not committing to Kent's happy dance just yet...

Well, you might want to call Kent to make sure he's home.

I follow him too. Even have some of his "Red River Ranch Seasoning" in the cabinet beside the stove......indoor stove, not at all similar to "Bertha".

Outstanding. Always take a good look at what you're about to eat. It's not so important to know what it is, but it's critical to know what it was.

I love Cowboy Kent. Done some of his recipes in the past, but sadly, I think a lot of that type of food is off the menu for me for the time being due to health. Frown

They are regional.

When I was living in TX they had them at all the DQ.

Family and I were in Panama City Beach a few years back and we went to the DQ there and asked why they didnt have steak fingers. The manager said "you must be from Texas!" as apparently all the visitors from Texas asked for them.

He said the regional DQ distributor elected what the franchises in the regions could carry.

I've never had steak fingers at DQ (don't usually eat there--not one near me), but there is a burger place called Griff's (one of 5 in Dallas area) that serves them. I like theirs. Will have to check out DQ.

Kent and Shannon are both great people. I have been corresponding with them for a number of years. His recipes are solid and his cast iron advice is always spot on. I just made his Hungry Man Salisbury Steak remake recipe last week. It is outstanding.

Within a few months I'll be at a [i]real[/] DQ. From here, ya drive I-70W into the middle of Kansas, bang a left anywhere and keep rolling until US-60, then west 900 miles. Get off at McClintock. North to Southern, make a right, and you're there.

I grew up on that kind of food.

My doc says
Less fat
Less meat
No coffee
No sweet
No booze
My weight? Loose

I’d rather die
Fat and drunk,
That’s no lie
Pass me Kent’s
Pecan pie

Burma Shave

I know a guy whose father ate healthy and exercise, generally took care of himself. He got colon cancer and toward the end of his life told his son, I should have eaten what tastes good. Healthy people die too but I will agree trying to stay healthy has benefits but it’s all a balance.
