Google has an algorithm that edits many non-static items from the photos. It’s why you also don’t see cars on the interstates.

I fly through ATL pretty much weekly. It’s not as busy as it was a year ago but it’s still very busy and has been for months. They photo has had a bunch of planes removed.

We have flown to Spokane 2 times since Pandemic started. Originating in Cleveland. The 1st time in June the planes and airports (Transferred in DFW) airports were a virtual ghost town. This was mid week mid day (peak time) the flights were also very cheap American airlines was $118 RT from CLE to Spokane. The 2nd and 3rd were through Denver on United and prices were similar.
Then we went back on July 28th to Sept 24th. Going out it was busier but not much more than in June. But when wee returned in late Sept the planes were nearly full and airports were quite full. I have to believe there is even more traffic on most routes.

I flew from PHX - DFW - EWR on Monday. All three airports were pretty busy. Both flights were totally full, as in not one empty seat and we spent plenty of time waiting to take off and park at the gates.
