Best Super Bowl Ever?
Most of the naysayers just hate the Pats. Take the names off the uniforms and it was the greatest comeback in post-season history.

Very entertaining. Falcons should have kicked the FG while they were still in range, as well as not choking in the second half.

Greatest ever? IDK, but it's one of the top 5, no doubt.

I'm old enough to have watched championship games pre NFL-AFL. Watched both Jim Brown and Ernie Davis play at Syracuse. So yeah, I've seen all 51 Super Bowls and this one ranks way up there near, if not at the top.

I've never watched a Super Bowl game. Today I caught the last nine minutes and of course I saw the overtime. I'm watching them from now on, this was GREAT!!

Sorry, not giving them the credit. The Falcons gave it away. They stopped fighting. A win is a win but it's an ugly one I wouldn't brag about it being some magical comeback. The losing team gave up they relaxed whatever you want to call it. I hate when teams do that. Pisses me off. It just spoils the whole game.

I'm a 49er fan by the way so don't accuse me of being a sore loser for the Falcons I'm still annoyed that they beat Aaron Rodgers.

Who is more hated in Atlanta now, Brady or General Sherman?

General Sherman? People in Atlanta these days know nothing of our history and don't care to know. They wouldn't know who you were talking about.

That's sad.

After the half-time break the Falcon's coach said something about "were pedaling downhill now."

Yea, they coasted all right.

Woke up from my afternoon nap to catch the last minutes of the 2nd quarter. I thought it was all over. Turned out to be very exciting for me.

I don't know about the Falcons rolling over. I'm sure they didn't see it that way; they were giving it their all.

Brady won me over. I didn't even sense he was pressured in the last minutes of the regular game just like Montana did in his last minute marches.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

It wasn't a Super Bowl, but the Oilers blew a bigger lead, ~35 points, IIRC, in a playoff game in Buffalo.

Bud Adams vowed to move the team to the Philipines and rename them the Manila Folders.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Gotta say I have to disagree with how the NFL runs overtime.

The team that loses the toss should at least get a chance to answer if the toss winner scores on their opening series.

Sounds like it was a good game. Good for Brady.

I actually thought that they did, but that's just in regards to field goals, isn't it...

Ah, well, those are the shakes sometimes.

I'm not a Pats fan, but after Brady, Belichick and Kraft came out for Trump, they conducted a nationwide poll and only 23% wanted the Pats to win. That's when I decided to root for them. Fabulous game!!
