I must be getting a C+ or a low B.

I've made Jello Instant pudding six times, now.

3 times it was Perfect , Tre Elegant.

but the other three times it had the consistency of thin gravy Frown

I stir it consistently, I can't figure it out.

Maybe like I told my Granddaughter the other day (after "interesting" pancakes).

You might want to start measuring the ingredients.

Whay kind of milk are you using?

Corn bread has been my nemisis for a few years. Following the directions on the box resulted in flat, hard, lifeless, dry cornbread hugging the bottom of the baking dish.

I fretted over it, consulted my sister and sister in law who are both Home Ec. Professors, measured precisely, recited encantations, swore oaths, tried during a full moon and no moon, wearing full regalia and plain clothes...... nothing seemed to work.

One day, I used whole milk. That worked, fluffy, moist delightful cornbread. I had been using 1% milk.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Hahahahahahaha

This is too funny

When I was little I wanted some jello so I was told to go make it by my mother. What it became was a refrigerated sweet colored water

When I inquired on why I was asked “did you follow the direction?” To which I had a blank stare

Thus for almost anything that didn’t turn out correctly the response is “if you follow the directions you get jello”

Make sure the milk is REALLY cold. If the milk isn't cold enough the pudding won't have a firm enough consistency.

When all else fails, read the manual/directions as a last resort.

If you can get fresh homemade Buttermilk this will make even better cornbread. Same with Biscuits.

Are you making "cooked" or instant pudding?

Mom cooked 2 boxes of pudding with two (2) cans of evaporated milk (12 oz. each) and one (1) cup of whole milk for a total of 4 cups of milk. Perfect every time. Be sure to bring pudding to a bubbling boil for a couple of minutes before pouring into bowls or pie crust...

I was remembering a thread you started around Christmas wherein you expressed dismay about people giving gifts of sweets to a diabetic. Thought maybe both you and she were diabetic.
