Plowing straight ahead come what may |
That was the sound the Villager made when air was getting between the trim and the windshield rubber gasket...it would stop when you would go through a heavy rain, only to start back when it dried out...I guess water altered the airflow. Anyway, the use of the silicon between the top of the aluminum trim where there were gaps between it and the body. There were several places the liquid silicon ran down behind the trim onto the windshield...these were the areas that were letting the air go under and out causing the whistle...it took a couple of applications to seal it off. ******************************************************** "we've gotta roll with the punches, learn to play all of our hunches Making the best of what ever comes our way Forget that blind ambition and learn to trust your intuition Plowing straight ahead come what may And theres a cowboy in the jungle" Jimmy Buffet

Thanks for all the suggestions. She has been taking the monkey's suggestion thus far, but I'd rather find it and fix it
The sound is pretty similar to that (not quite as bad) - but it only happens when there's a strong crosswind.
