I was off shopping but Mrs. PHPaul happened to be out in the yard chatting with a neighbor when a car pulled in.

Several people piled out and opened the conversation with "We stopped because of your sign."

The only sign we have out at the moment is our "We Stand With Israel" sign. Wife's first thought was "oh, shit..." but turns out they were a Jewish family and were genuinely appreciative of our expression of support. They had a nice chat and my wife expressed her initial trepidation and mentioned that we had a Trump sign out for several months.

They asked which sign we got more grief over and the answer was "Trump, by a large margin." In fact, I'm not aware of any negative reactions to the Israel sign other than my wife's sister who is bat-shit crazy.

Count your lucky stars, and good for you.

In my neighborhood, any sign signifying Conservative sentiments is either disfigured or stolen within a few days. So much for those tolerant "liberals." At least they leave my flag alone, so far anyway.

For reasons I don't understand and am unwilling to fight about, my wife won't allow a flag pole.

If I did, messing with my flag would earn you a serious ass-whipping.

I fly the American flag.

I didn’t put up a Trump flag for fear of vandalism from the kids at the high school across the street from my house.

It’s sad that I have to think this way out here in California.

We put a full size pole up at my parents last home and it was a chore and a half to get that thing up.
