Wow. Rather than help my fellow man I’ll shoot some video from my phone to get a few more followers on YouTube. As far as the death toll goes I’d say you can safely double that number as a number of individuals will succumb to overwhelming infection in the next few days from their significant burn wounds and the lack of appropriate care. Very sad but the reality of the situation.
Here in WV we have local geniuses that steal copper from abandoned mines and homes. Some make it their final hooray and they’re idiots but this really takes the cake. The folks in the video will be a tremendous addition to our communities.

Build a man a fire and keep him warm for a night, set a man on fire and keep him warm the rest of his life.

When I read 66 killed and 88 missing I thought an innocent village got burned by thieves.

Watching the video, the thieves were the ones running like flaming roaches.

There are going to be MANY more deaths after the shock from the 3rd degree burns sets in.

I always point out that every door & window has bars. It ain't to keep gringos out.
Not every Mexican is untrustworthy, I know many that are wonderful people, but the mass-acceptance of this bullshit is what makes it perpetuate.

It's an ideology borne in unprincipled desperation survival. The behavior creates further desperation. Mexico is a text book example of how one man's immorality limits the liberty, opportunity and prosperity of the rest of society directly and indirectly. Immoral behavior is as pebbles or boulders thrown into the water the consequences move through society as waves across the surface. The people who do not make this cause effect association will always find themselves in third world cesspool culture that eventually perpetuates itself like a raging fire becomes a firestorm. There is a reason most privacy/security walls have broken glass embedded in concrete across the top in Mexico.

I'm only surprised that more of these don't light up. All it would take is a spark.
Looked like total anarchy, before and after the fire.

Mexico’s drug-trafficking cartels have moved to monopolize all forms of crime, including fuel theft, muscling out smaller operators with paramilitary tactics honed in the drug war. Black-market gasoline is now a billion-dollar economy, and free-standing gasoline mafias are gaining power in their own right, throwing a volatile accelerant onto the dirty mix of drugs and guns that has already killed some 200,000 Mexicans over the past decade. The most violent year in Mexico’s recorded history was 2017, and some observers now say the conflict has as much to do with petroleum as it does with narcotics.

Beware the huachicoleros

Looks to me like there was some kind of excavation around the geyser. So they dug up the pipeline and then tapped it? And isn't high octane gasoline these days aviation gasoline? Which is much more volatile than no lead pump gas.
Regardless, why would we ever want more people from this stupid, corrupt shithole to come to the US?

I thought the odds of other people as dumb as them was slim to none...

Desperate poverty is a perpetuating excuse for immorality. I've been so poor I had no idea when I would eat next, let alone regularly. I chose not to steal. I chose the hard path and suffered through. Thank God I live in a mostly moral society so I could seek and find opportunity.

I'm going to protest the use of the "illegal" tap description. It is an undocumented tap.
