I don’t know where to post the Bernie stuff so here’s an article that proves he’s full of it or doesn’t want to really admit his true intentions quite yet.

It blows my mind that this guy has the following he does. Scary actually.

Cooper Grills Sanders For Not Knowing Cost Of His Plans. Sanders Responds With Nonsense.

https://www.dailywire.com/news..._campaign=benshapiro

Socialist Bernie Sanders, the current front runner in the race for the Democratic nomination for president, was grilled on Sunday during an interview for not knowing the cost of his multi-trillion dollar big government programs.

Anderson Cooper, normally a host on CNN, hosted CBS News’ “60 Minutes” on Sunday, where he pressed Sanders over the cost of his programs and over how he intends to pay for them.

Cooper noted that the number of big government programs for which Sanders is advocating, including everything from government-run health care to the far-left “Green New Deal,” will cost well into the tens of trillions of dollars, with some top experts attaching a nearly $100 trillion price tag to his proposals.

“How much will that cost?” Cooper asked.

“Obviously, those are expensive propositions, but we have done our best on issue after issue – in
paying for them,” Sanders responded.

“Do you know how all – how much though?” Cooper pressed. “I mean, do you have a price tag for all of this?”

“We do. I mean, you know, and, and, the price tag is – it will be substantially less than letting the current system go,” Sanders responded. “I think it’s about $30 trillion.”

“That’s just for Medicare for All, you’re talking about?” Cooper continued. “Do you have a price tag for all of these things?”

“No, I don’t,” Sanders responded. “We try to – no, you mentioned making public colleges and universities tuition free and cancelling all student debt, that’s correct. That’s what I want to do. We pay for that through a modest tax on Wall Street speculation.”

“But you say you don’t know what the total price is, but you know how it’s gonna be paid for. How do you know it’s gonna be paid for if you don’t know how much the price is?” Cooper pressed.

“Well, I can’t, you know, I can’t rattle off to you every nickel and every dime,” Sanders responded. “But we have accounted for, you – you talked about Medicare for All. We have options out there that will pay for it.”

Last month, Sanders was questioned by CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell over the very same issue and again had no answer over how much his programs cost and O’Donnell gave him the benefit of using the low-end estimates for the projected costs.

“You are a self-proclaimed socialist,” CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell began.

“‘Democratic,’ put in there please,” Sanders shot back.

“Thank you. Your agenda has promised free health care for everybody, free college tuition, and to pay off people’s college loans,” O’Donnell continued. “The price tag for that is estimated to be $60 trillion over ten years, correct?”

“Well look, we have political opponents who come up –” Sanders responded.

“You don’t know? You don’t know how much your plan costs?” O’Donnell pressed.

“You don’t know; nobody knows,” Sanders responded. “This is impossible to predict.”

“You’re going to propose a plan to the American people, and you’re not going to tell them how much it costs?” O’Donnell persisted.

“Of course I will,” Sanders responded. “Do you know exactly what health care costs will be – one minute – in the next ten years if we do nothing? It will be a lot more expensive than a Medicare for All single payer system.”

What an asshole. Seriously. I've laughed at this angry, old clown many times, but lately his commie crap is really starting to piss me off. Especially since so many in this country seem to be taking him so seriously. Old, commie prick.

We have six kids. Oldest will be 31 in March, then 2nd will be 30 in June. Next four will be 25, 22, 21, and 19 on their next birthday.
The older son is third, & will be 25 in June. In the last election he was feeling the "Bern".
Since then, he's graduated from college & has started a graduate degree in Economics.
He told his mother last week that Bern is a crazy loon.
I decided many years ago to let my kids figure this stuff out for themselves.
So far it's working, but I still have some work to do with the youngest. Don't worry, I'll eventually get her on board with the other five kids...

I used to think he was a mostly harmless old kook.

Now I think he's an evil bastard who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the levers of power.

He doesn't have to know. Democrats are like sheep and sadly don't research anything, other than what the DNC feeds them. It's sad, but ask 10 democrats about this and only 1 out of 10 of them will know half of whats going on.

The problem with Bernie is that his sycophantic followers DON'T CARE about how much his bullshit costs. In fact, I'd argue that the more it costs the better, because if they can bankrupt the US, it makes it far more likely they'll be able to take over.

If he is the Democrat that runs against Trump, Trump is guaranteed victory.

He's just the left's version of Trump. Outsider with a passionate base that's taking over the party with wild promises that are unlikely to be upheld.

And socialism is a lot more than just government ownership of the means of production (old school definition). It means government take-over of everything.

The worst part is that this requires a cadre of loyal henchmen (and henchwomen) to enforce the confiscatory policies and compel the citizenry to do what the government wants them to do. The only way to do this is to have a disciplined party - the communist party - and a legal system that gives them to the power to take what they want and crush those who object.

This is what Bernie wants. I've seen it in action - living behind the Iron Curtain for two years in the 1970's - and it destroys the souls of everyone involved. Economically, it is inefficient and cannot deliver on its promises, but it does prop up that leadership class from the party. But they have to imprison their opponents and shoot a few people now and then to keep the socialist monstrosity in control.

After he is elected, Bernie will disappear quickly - the first wave of the revolution is always liquidated after their work is done. They are too idealistic and made too many promises that cannot be kept. Who will follow Bernie? Who will be Stalin to Bernie's Lenin? Somewhere in the wings there is a cold-hearted schemer who is planning to make socialism really happen and control everything. We should really be worrying about that person more than about Bernie with his army of supporters doped by promises of all the free stuff.

One slight difference. One of the 2 is delivering on what he promised. The other has no idea on what his crazy ideas will cost or how he would pay for it.

Hey, call me old-fashioned and way out of touch, but when I did MY 'higher learning' I had had to prove that I was well up to snuff by doing whole lot of 'lower learning' first. Y'know, like a 99.9% school attendance record [not hard for me, since I was at a school with boarding], records of all my progress, or lack of it, over the previous seven years or so, and a definite yen for that 'higher education' based on current learning standards being maintained.

I ended up with a Masters in Remote Sensing, based on a thorough grounding in math and physics, you know, like a BSc already and another BA in modern Languages...

From what I've been reading here for the last 14/15 years, there is a large element of your population who believe that higher education is right, and not a privilege that has to be earned.

Trust me, I EARNED my higher education, mostly paid for by the Army, I admit, without which it would not have happened.

You mean like how Mexico is paying for the wall to be built? Yet he found a way to pay for it.

Or how he was going to pay off the national debt with ease.

I'm not trying to disparage Trump or boost Bernie, just saying that making outlandish campaign promises that have zero chance of actually being kept is par for the course in both sides.

Bernie would need large majorities in the House and Senate to get even a small part of his plan passed which will never happen.
