Yawn..........old news, Sir, and not even accurate.
1. Guns are NOT banned. I have nineteen - that's seventeen rifles and two handguns. Not much by your standards, I know, but nineteen more than none.
2. Pellet guns are not banned. SALES of pellet guns to under-18s no longer happen. I have around forty of 'em.
3. Knives are not banned. Waving one around in public is likely to get unwanted attention, though - might even get you shot where you stand in certain places.
4. Sales of kitchen knives are not banned - sales of kitchen knives to under-18s is what happens.
Get it right, FFS.

Right. Because before firearms were invented, the world was a perfect, non-violent utopia.

That guy says how it really is here! He is a relative of a friend of mine. Can't believe he is not forced to take that site down.
Don't think they aren't trying. They have been trying for years to shut down the CPD blog. They in conjuction with the news media here did succeed in shutting down another blog that exposed the corruption in Chicago/Cook County a couple of years ago. The newsmedia here in Chicago FREQUENTLY steals reports from our blog and publishes or broadcasts them.

Absolute bollocks, and you know it.
I'm not going to waste another couple of thousand posts explaining to somebody who is plainly trolling. Simply refer anybody here to Youtube - tac's guns and to the Great British shooting Show - the largest public shooting show in Europe.

I gotta ask, not knowing you tac, but since everything I can find says that something like a sig pistol, are illegal, as that they have less than an overall 24 inch barrel. So tell me again how guns are not banned? Cuz that sounds like a ban. OR can you own a sig, an ar 15, and a tactical shotgun for fun? Cuz if so, your local PD might have some jail house space, cuz thats what I keep pulling up in my searches. There is a provision about something about the nobility and other royals being exempt, but theres never been a tyrant over in Europe before.
Used guns deserve a home too

No an outright ban, however "your" government
did essentially "do away" with guns.
quote:
Great Britain has some of the most stringent gun control laws in the world. The main law is from the late 1960s, but it was amended to restrict gun ownership further in the latter part of the twentieth century in response to massacres that involved lawfully licensed weapons. Handguns are prohibited weapons and require special permission. Firearms and shotguns require a certificate from the police for ownership, and a number of criteria must be met, including that the applicant has a good reason to possess the requested weapon. Self-defense or a simple wish to possess a weapon is not considered a good reason.
Great Britain has the reputation of having some of the tightest gun control laws in the world.[1] Only police officers, members of the armed forces, or individuals with written permission from the Home Secretary may lawfully own a handgun.

Tell ya what, Tac, why don't you try carrying about the non-assisted-opening 3.4"-bladed CRKT Prowess I do and let us know how far you get should it come to the attention of the constabulary. Or perhaps even my 3" Benchmade Mini-Grip or Spyderco Delica 4? Never mind my assisted-opening Kershaw.
You needn't answer.
quote:
What Constitutes A Legal Knife?
. The knife must have a folding blade that is fully enclosed when folded closed.
. The blade length must be less than 3" long (76.2mm)
. The knife must be non locking
That leaves out
every knife I down, even the little Kershaw Scallion I carry when I'm well-dressed.
Can't imagine how the agents of your government would react to one of the sheath knives I commonly carry in the woods. Probably call out your equivalent of SWAT or a SF team.

I did not say kitchen knives were banned. I said the banning of kitchen knives with points had been discussed. I can find cites if you'd like.

I respect you greatly, tac, and no mistake, but your habit of attempting to defend the indefensible grows tiresome.

A friend from near Carlisle has an extraordinarily nice selection of shotguns, and he seemed to think that it was really no big deal to get a certificate.
I'll make sure he learns of his "ruling class" membership, likely unknown to him 'til now. Wondering if it comes with any other Rights and Privileges... parking in red zones? Priority boarding on international flights?

The more of the shitheads that fatally shoot each other and themselves the better. The problem solves itself.
