Slight drift. Parades are a neat insight into a place.

Has anyone ever seen this kind of cylindrical magazine for an AK? I did a quick search for some, but didn't find any. Can't imagine they'd be much fun to lug around.

Then there's this one:

If you look closely at the women's feet, you'll see there are strings of some kind which go beneath the shoe soles. Their shoes are tied to their feet, I suppose so they aren't kicked off during the Glorious Marching Sequence.

A weird place, North Korea. I hope the State Department has some kind of super Marshall Plan for when li'l Kim gets done in.

Type 88 NORK variation on the Soviet AK-74

It is fitted with a helical mag.

Let's hope that idiot doesn't decide to lash out with what does work to cover his embarrassing failure.

I'll also guess there will be some close range 20mm practice in someone's future.

We have "experimental" chemical lasers mounted to aircraft. I've seen them on a 747.

Perhaps one was orbiting a way out during the launch?

The Stechschritt (literally, "piercing step") was developed in the 1700s. It's purpose was to move large masses of soldiers over the battlefield. As troops move a known distance at a known speed it's easy for commanders to position then. Today, it's used for parades. It requires a high degree of coordination, discipline, and morale. The units in the parade have spent months practicing. Likely there are ceremonial units.

The average NK citizen is reported to be three inchers shorter. However, another site said 1-2 inches shorter. Most people love be on a twice monthly ration issue. If you can get into the military, you eat much better.

Unlikely. They're probably still quite comfortable somewhere in Iran.

Yeah, but they sure can get down.

Look at the officers around their holy impotence, I've never seen uniforms covered from top to bottom with medals before. Bet they jingle jangle.

Perhaps the best situation is that NORK tries to launch a nuclear tipped missile and if detonates 40 feet above the launcher.

My God those idiots on CNN are reporting that the missile failure could have been the result of US sabatoge. Are they TRYING to give this idiot an excuse to whip a nuclear device at someone?
