Dances With Tornados |
I'm retired now, but I used to have a total POS for a boss. I'd piss him off all the time by saying: "There's no reason for it, it's just company policy". Walmart is famous/infamous for fighting lawsuits , they have a powerful legal department that is told/required to fight tooth and nail to get lawsuits dismissed. They are NOT nice. .This message has been edited. Last edited by: OKCGene,

I would imagine that Code of Conduct is You're supposed to be working, not videoing people ( especially if it makes the caliber of our "clientele" look bad, which in turn makes us look bad, which of course would come as a shock to absolutely no one who's ever even heard of Wal-Mart. lol).

Just about anyone can put a baby up in her, and she can pop a baby out of her, but she can't make the cut to be a momma.

I failed at being clear. I meant I as in if it were up to me. Not I as in I'm a corporate drone, rather in this specific case, I as in I’m WalMart.

Prepared for the Worst, Providing the Best |
Yup, and the latter was probably more their intent than the former. Everybody's gotta get their views and likes. Wal-Mart has EXCELLENT in-store loss prevention video that would have provided more than enough evidence for any LE investigation, and their loss prevention folks are well versed in working with LE. An employee on the floor creating a confrontation with the customer is not something the store needs, nor is helpful to any investigation. We had a similar situation in a local retailer two weeks ago, and staff called 911 and kept eyes on the person until police arrived and were able to investigate. Turned out to be a misunderstanding that was resolved by calmly determining all the facts. No confrontation or drama necessary.

So you're not under video surveillance the entire time you're inside a WallyWorld? _______________________ “The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Having worked for old Wally for some time, I would agree that the employee's confronting of the customer is what most likely led to her termination. We were told in no uncertain terms that we were never to confront anyone for anything while on store property, from manner and appearance to theft of goods. Get a plate number, call the police, across the board. Midnights at the beginning of the month were always a show. Sarcasm on/ Apparently EBT is only good for a couple days after the card loads... /sarcasm off. A Perpetual Disappointment...
