Protesting against themselves, LOL. Yes, just that stupid.

I think of them as reincarnated Red Guards from Mao's China. Prepare for the counter-counter-counter-revolution.

Ann Coulter's book Mob is a good read about leftist herd behavior.

They had a protest in my town earlier today.

The cops had them all penned into a tiny residential park (see picture), which I found amusing.

Seems vaguely familiar....like make love not war....and peace out. Maybe these children should take a page out of the playbooks and show up at shooting events and NRA gatherings and spit on people. That would be powerful!

Meaningless. Six months from now, you'll have trouble remembering any of this.

I mean it. Their protests are utterly meaningless. These silly protests will net them precisely nothing. No one will change their mind because of the pissing and moaning of these CHILDREN who still live at home with mommy.

They know nothing of the real world. I'll not be lectured to by ignorant infants.

My SIL teaches ninth grade Biology, is a NRA member, and advised me the other day that she'd been told by her principal that 'all' the teachers at her school were 'required' to accompany the children on their protest. Last I heard, she had contacted her union rep to try and see if she had any means to get out of going. I bet I know the answer to that question.

This is simply disgusting on every level.

It's an excuse to skip class, hang around wth your friends and snap selfies- smiling selfies. These children are utterly ignorant, and that's being kind about it.

Nothing will come of this, and after they have their protests and wait for the banishment of firearms, it will slowly dawn on them that they aren't special in any way. They're just like the rest of us, except we adults know about the world. Living at home with mommy, not having to work for a living, everything is bought and paid for, for them- they don't know jack shit. What a joke. Yeah, tell me about the world, you stupid little bastards. Just try. What's that? You're 16? Well, I've lived more than three of your lifetimes, child. Come back in 20 years, junior.

It's insulting, to say the least

What's that, junior? Oh, you're 16 and a half? Oh, my mistake, Methuselah.

So let me just try to associate today's actions with historical actions...

These kids would be similar to the hippies of the 60's/70's that spit on our soldiers returning from Vietnam, except their target is what? And on what are they going to spit/protest?

Their "protest" (pffffft) is against an inanimate object used as a tool by faithless, feckless, anti-social, abnormal, mentally disturbed miscreants akin to thugs and criminals. Why is there no outcry against vehicles that were used in the senseless killings of innocents??

I love chellim's signature tag..."To ban guns because criminals use them is to tell the law abiding that their rights depend not on their own conduct, but, on the conduct of the guilty and the lawless."

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

The question was asked and no one had an answer...what happens if someone were injured or worse. Who is responsible?

My town had a memorial service in the gym then back to school.

I had to laugh when I learned by former town has now assigned on duty officers to each school. They plan of putting retired officers in each school. For now, they are unarmed. Maybe they are issued a rolled up newspaper. Truthfully, I don't think I'd want any of them in the schools. they are provided zero training in active shooter scenarios and they won't pay for the training.

They reviewed the school buildings and wanted an additional exit put in some areas (one gym / lunchroom only one exit to the exterior. they won't spend the money. all they will do is point the finger at an object and got back to being useless.

They had an incident where two students phoned in a threat. I have no doubt that nothing will be done and those students will be back after the parents bitch they weren't serious.

Kept my high schooler home

Our dumbass county basically told teachers not to teach today to “respect the right of the kids to protest”

Only reason my middle schooler went is he has missed a shit ton of time recently due to broken arm and he got the flu and ruptured an ear drum during it

Now THAT is complete and utter bullshit.

Outside of how ridiculous it is on face value, the exposure of being responsible for injuries, partying, missing school, whatever outside the walls of the school or a sanctioned outing are something I'd not accept. Don't think for a moment these stupid snowflake's parents wouldn't sue the system and individual teacher in a heartbeat.

These are NOT 'Student' protests. There was a 'protest' at my son's Middle School today, and it was organized by the Administrators! The Students had nothing to do with it! Not surprisingly, many students had NO idea this was to occur today, my son included. The students were told it was 'optional', and they could choose not to participate in the 'protest', which was scheduled to last 17 minutes. Many students, my son included, thought it was pointless!

Just another example of the rampant indoctrination occurring in our public schools! Roll Eyes

If they really want to protest, it should be how the school administration And the Sheriff Dept sold out their safety for Federal dollars. That is the real story here.

These fools are the result of brainwashing our public schools that all they have to do is declare a "safe space", a coloring book and a teddy bear and the world will become one with unicorns, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, rainbows and all the other unrealistic bull shit. These ass holes are our future! Certainly ripe to be taken over by the muslims, China, Russia or any other entity that wants the USA. Good Reddens to these foolish idiots........But than again, this is exactly what the liberal, progressive democrats want and aspire to.....

Liberals here are proclaiming a day of reckoning with massive gun control in the immediate future...all weapons will be banned and confiscated to protect the children.

meanwhile, all 40 students skipped class and stood around texting for 20 minutes before returning to the school.

total joke.

This is how Progressives change cultures. This will not do much, but it will do enough for the next benign step. Now, what we need to do is move the culture in the opposite direction. It's time to Johnny Appleseed the culture. Evangelize the young. Teach them the self defense culture. Take them shooting. Train them one and all. They are willing and excited to go shooting. They are sponges of information. Once properly trained and taught, the Left cannot move the culture.
