When I was a kid, a breakfast cereal (I think) gave away a square foot of land in Alaska to buyers of their product.

Perhaps I should start become a Texan by buying 1 sq ft of Texas land for only $50, and it'll include a lottery entry to be 1 of 60 people to have a fruit or nut tree planted on it. For a total of $200, it'll include Amazon's finest knock-off Stetson white cowboy hat.

Didn’t a company do this with stars several years ago and tons of people fell for it.

Yep, my wife and I own a square foot or so in Scotland, and have the framed certificate to prove it haha!

I like the ideal of at least signing emails as “Lord” haha…
