The second time I saw PMJ Bradlee only sat in for two or three songs, still a good show.

Check out Maps with Morgan James.

And Dear Prudence with James and Rienhart.

I've had a bigtime crush on Morgan james but, alas, her guitar player, Doug Wamble, built a fence around her and then put a ring on her finger.

They are doing quarantunes right now and releasing a few songs every few days. This is the best cover of Hank I've heard.

I don't know how to post and make the youtube pictures come up

both of those are great covers,

I saw PMJB a year or so ago,

not that great,

Bradlee was not there, but had a look a like in his place,

only one person I recognized from any of the vids was there,

I also saw Puddles later that year,

he does a great show, the clown can sing,

he also went thru the crowd before he went onstage and made a point to shake everyone's hand

I have come to the conclusion that Puddles is a national treasure. In my opinion he only singer in that can rival Elvis in power and quality of his voice.

Have you seen the man beneath the makeup doing his Elvis show?

This is the first time I have heard of Morgan James.

She has the most amazing voice and range.

PMJ is how I found Morgan James several years ago. She does tour and plays smallish venues. I have been lucky enough to see her twice at the City Winery Chicago. That girl gives me goose bumps with her voice.

They're a great channel. After all of this shit is over, if you have the chance to see them live, I highly recommend it. We did last year and it was a great show.

I saw Post Modern Jukebox live a few years back in New Haven. It did not disappoint. That surf guitar NSYNC cover is the best!

I was recently thinking of this group, but couldn't recall the name. Mystery solved, glad I stumbled onto this thread. Smile

PMJ does covers in a variety of different styles. I'm not sure if they're still doing it this way, but for a long time, they would release an album of covers all in one style, then their next album would be in a different style, etc.

The most similar group I am familiar with (in that they also do covers of popular songs in a different musical style, and don't have a permanent vocalist, they bring in a bunch of different ones) is Scary Pockets, although all of Scary Pockets' work is in a modern funk style. They're really good, though, and some of the vocalists that sing with PMJ also sing with Scary Pockets.

This is one of my favorite Scary Pockets covers. It's so good and I've listened to it so many times that in my head, I don't even hear the original Beatles version anymore. Kenton Chen sings with PMJ sometimes.

I love this one, too. Olivia Kuper Harris also sings with PMJ sometimes.
