Washing machine whisperer |
We live 5 miles from Ohio and less than 15 from Indiana. Friday, our Governor extended her Stay At Home EO through June 12. So the wife and I decided to head for Indiana which has decreed that it's time to get back to work, to get back to living. Had an ice cream cone at a local shop we like (life is uncertain, eat dessert first) and then off to Rural King for some farm supplies and canning stuff for my wife's farmers market business. Then off to a local microbrewery for the first adult beverage at a bar and then dinner at a table with servers since March. Lot's of people out and about and hardly a mask to be seen outside of the employees at the businesses we visited. Sorry Governor Whitless, the sales tax went to neighboring "Open for Business" Indiana. Came home to a nice backyard bonfire with cigar and bourbon. Hope you all are having a nice Memorial Day Weekend. New flag is up in the front yard. Most services including my township one are cancelled but we will be remembering those who gave all on Monday. Well done, Brad. Out here in Montana, we are running at about 50%. Restaurants are open, seating every other table and most stores are back to normal. Costco is the only store requiring masks (like it's the only way the KungFlu can be transmitted). School is still out and my wife and I have been 'home schooling' our 2 elementary grandchildren so they at least make some progress. This is probably the greatest hoax perpetuated on the American public. Just my opinion. Keep up the good fight. I'm not opposed to people considering their own individual risk factors and taking some basic precautions as they see the need, but it is good to see that not everyone is hiding under their desks sucking their thumbs and continuing to live their lives. People need to return to work, return to church, return to school, and return to their lives. Back when our house arrest was governor mandated I broke Q several times, including meeting family and hugging them, without masks, at an event that we were forbidden to attend. Good on ya Brad! Have a safe, enjoyable, and meaningful holiday. Link to original video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u8R5SwR2j0

If I didn't know better, I'd say that a whole lot of Iowan's crossed over to Illinois to vote in the currant Illinois governer, Iowa buisness owners LOVE the stupid crap that Pritzcer does, They are building new Bridges across the Mississippi River, to accommodate the Illinois people trying to get out. It's comical to watch . (Yet sad) Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first

At the State line, a LOT of people from IL are coming up to get away. I don’t have any issues with it, the local economy needs all it can get. I’d be advertising inside MI with a business near the border, pull Whitmer’s chain.

Living in Indiana has some perks. Being a red state, we normally see a stable influence with the exception of the bigger cities and Democrat rule. It has been a slow trip back to normalcy. The insanity in the surrounding states has kept me from working as it does 5 other coworkers. I am glad you can slip across the border and have some of the pleasures we have had all of our lives. “Our actions may be impeded... But there can be no impeding our intentions or our dispositions. Because we can accommodate and adapt. The mind adapts and converts to its own purposes the obstacle to our acting. The impeding to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.” ― Marcus Aurelius

Saw your post on Facebook, Brad. But didn't comment. I'll comment here, however: This is great to see! Down here in WV...folks have been moving around for about a month now. This last week...it just exploded as restaurants opened up, etc. Almost "normal".

If you come to Ohio bring your own silverware. Right now it's all disposable stuff on the tables. The other thing that kinda chaffs me is the local gestapos come in and fine places if the patrons don't socially distance. The establishments may have removed tables and chairs to comply yet it is somehow the property owners responsibility to make sure the people behave themselves. If you want to write tickets then write them to the offending parties that are violating the distancing regulation. I think it's all BS but shutting down businesses is just stupid. _____________________ Be careful what you tolerate. You are teaching people how to treat you.
