Nothing crazy, had some Uzi mags out of the bunch that like most of my dad’s stuff hadn’t been taken care of.
Wire wheeled, washed in hot soapy water, cleaned, baked dry, then hit some little spots again with the wire wheel. Finished with a good wiping with a silicone rag. I’ll check em weekly then monthly to see if it was worth the trouble or if I should just toss em.
Was also able to save a fully rusted Ruger factory 10 round mini-14 mag. It turned out great.

Looks good!
Got a vintage 1911 for cheap because it had no extractor. Was sent one for a .45 ACP, but the 1911 was chambered in .17mach2.
Dremeled it down to the dimensions I needed to see if it would cycle properly before chasing down the right one.
Turns out one for a 22lr works just fine. Later I started making my own magazine followers and other parts from scratch.

I used my Dremel on a bunch of Glock trigger parts, sights and such. Great for smoothing parts. Same with Colt parts....years of using it.

Some of the handguns I carry have blued steel magazines. I'll occasionally give them a coat of automotive paste wax. Let it dry and then buff with a soft cloth. It seems to help protect them from perspiration and makes cleaning them easier.
