So I had another cardioversion done today (shock my heart back into normal rhythm). When they punched the button my new Apple Watch dialed 911. Of course I was out so I missed all the fun. Pretty trippy. Hospital staff was quite surprised too. _____________________ Be careful what you tolerate. You are teaching people how to treat you. | ||

Curious: is it a setting on the apple watch that calls 911 for medical emergencies? Separately, I wonder why they didn't ask you to remove the watch, given that they were introducing an electrical charge to your body. I wouldn't want my smart watch autodialing 911 for any reason whatsoever. If you have a massive heart attack and your heart stops, a watch dialing 911 is just about useless. They have to find you, send a unit out to see what's wrong, which depending on where you are could take several minutes, after which you would be dead. | |||
