Gents - if you wear boxers, great, please click the back button on your browser now.

Some of us prefer briefs. Many of the online reviews and comments about various brands seem to have the same theme - these used to be great, but now they are cheaply made, poor quality, thin fabric, etc.

Are there any high quality briefs around to buy? If you’ve found any recently, please chime in.

Thanks.

Duluth Trading. Expensive, but to me worth every penny. I stock up each year during their Christmas discounts.

Been wearing Hanes forever.

I see nothing wrong with them and they last for years.

But, this thread brings back to old joke...

If a jockey wears jockey shorts and a boxer wears boxer shorts, what do you call a man who wears no shorts at all???

Duluth Trading is the best I have tried. I personally like the “buck naked” line.

For the Duluth Trading fans - you don’t get too hot in nylon/spandex?

I get the armachillo ones, i find them more breathable than cotton. The are similar to underarmor undeshirst, very moisture wicking. They dont trap moisture like cotton and thus keep my junk cooler. The material is also non binding meaning there is less adjusting needed when walking around. The fit is a little tighter than cotton briefs, which took a little getting used to, but stuff does not move around as much as cotton, everything tends to stay more or less where it is supposed to be, in a drier climate.

I like MunsingWear with the horizontal kangaroo pouch for equal opportunity ambidextrous access to the important stuff.

Vermont Country Store is having a heck of a blow-out on this right now: $9.99 for a three-pack.

I bought some hanes at wally w recently. The low cuts were horrible and put the squeeze on me. They had some high cut. Not sure what they called them exactly. A much better fit. One that I can run with. I also bought some Reeboks boxer briefs. They are pretty good. Probably back ups for me.
I appreciated all the input here.

Just Hanes. Whatever they have at the store when my old ones give up on the elastic. I try to get shades of gray and black instead of white.

This. I started buying Duluth 10-12 years ago and haven't needed to buy any since. They wear like iron but plenty comfortable.

Armachillo briefs I buy them when they go on sale.
by Duluth. They go on sale a couple of times a month by email.

And three packs of New Balance off Amazon are almost as good at a fraction of the price.

About 100 new balance choices of colors/patterns.

+ Another for Duluth Trading. (Though I wear boxer briefs, not standard briefs.)

I prefer the Free Range cotton ones over the various synthetic ones.

Lots of good suggestions! But let’s not refer to blow-outs when discussing underwear. Wink

I went from Duluth to Saxx. I’m impressed with Saxx, ultra or platinum. just don’t like paying the price.
