I grew up in Australia, so, like Pipe Smoker, I buy 500gm bottles of Vegemite and the large sized bottles of Marmite, and have either of them for breakfast every single day. My Indian friends and my American friends all think I am totally crazy!!!!!SmileSmileSmile

Peanut butter and Marmite go together like peaches and cream. Here on Kellogg Club crackers:

One reason that I like the 600g tubs: their wide opening makes it much easier to get the Marmite out without fouling the rim of the container.

34g protein per 100g Marmite, so fairly high. But its flavor is so intense that no one will consume much of it. Lots of B vitamins though.

P. S. – I love your Thomas Sowell tag line.

My first taste of Vegemite was in the middle of the red center, accompanied by an ice cold Coopers Pale Ale and a beautiful sunset over Uluru.

Almost ruined the moment. Thank God for the beer.

But hey, that’s more for you all!

Those videos are always entertaining, one of my favorites was Irish people eating American foods.

I’ll start a new thread!

Isn’t this Vegemite/Marmite stuff basically the crud left over from brewing beer? I don’t get it Confused

Out local supermarkets have international aisles that carry Brown Sauce and Salad Cream. But not one container of Vegemite. Says something...

Some people spread it on Manischewitz matzos, but I prefer the Streits brand for Vegemite.

I don't crave Vegemite, but I like it. You don't use much, a tiny little smear on toast with cheese is a good savory snack.

The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.
