God bless the officer who got shot by the criminal. His injuries sound kind of serious. I'm glad the perp went straight to hell where he belongs. Good fucking riddance you piece of shit.

Stolen truck, stolen tags, stolen phones, and illegal possession (either a felon or illegal alien maybe?). Not to mention shooting at the cops. Good riddance.

First, I'm really happy the two officers survived this stop and shooting. This video is the short version of just the shooting itself. The longer version shows more of what led up to the shooting and what I consider to be some poor tactics by the officers which thankfully they survived. Perhaps they teach tactics differently now than when I was on the job but when I watched the longer video I cringed a few times thinking these officers were losing their tactical advantage, then bada-bing, bada-boom out comes the suspects gun with both officers on the same side of the car...

The other officer dang near ran right into the line of fire.

Hope the officer recovers fully.

Glad the perp is deceased, now he won't be able to come to CO and raise hell here.

I'm happy for the outcome, but I think a good bit of luck/divine providence was involved. Very lucky not to hit his partner, who ran directly behind the line of fire.

When shit happens, it happens FAST.

The person actually involved, has fractions of a second to react and then act.

May all the monday morning quarterbacks have as much time as they think they have if they (god forbid) are ever involved in such a situation.

They have days, weeks and months to do their jobs and they still fuck them up, so to critique someone that has seconds in a life or death situation - is a little off to me. It also shows the desirability of a bonded bullet in terms of shooting through that B Pillar.

Does a non-LE necessarily need that? Maybe /maybe not.

But I definitely see the rationale for LE having bonded rounds ie the GDHP.

I would want to know he second officer's thinking when he approached from the driver's side. He probablty thought they were gonna snatch the dirtbag through the window. I still believe in the second officer, in MOST cases, standing on the right side, behind the b column, so he can see the driver's hands. But I wasn't there, so it's not my call. Glad the copper is gonna make it, and the douchenozzle will go back inside where he belongs. Adios, Muchacho, chinga tu Madre, Ass-breath.
