Rolex DeepSea Challanger 50mm Titanium - Wow!
Not only is it smaller than the 55mmx28mm titanium Omega SeaMaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep prototype from 2019 that only went 10,925 meters deep, but it also goes to 11!

An engineering marvel and I'm glad to see them use titanium but at that size I'd categorize it as a wrist clock. More than happy with my 40 mm SD 16600. So far, I've only ever needed the first 100 feet of the 4,000 feet water resistance it offers. As titanium goes, the Tudor Pelagos presents several options and much more reasonable prices. It's at the top of my wish list for addition to my small collection.

For that kind of money I could get a very nice shotgun, say a K80 4 barrel set. Or get a huge watch I would never wear and just sat in some closet. I'll choose the shotgun.

I've stopped counting.

I’m pretty sure the person buying that watch could also buy the shotgun if they like. I doubt if it’s a one or the other scenario.

Watches,Guns and Knives. Three expensive vices or hobbies that many of us share on the SIGforum! I would certainly own this amazing piece of watchmaking wonder IF I could afford it!

There is a market for these obscenely oversized clown watches.

There is an element that expresses their level of success on their tiny stick sized wrist.

The bigger, the better.

Or their wrist is bigger and it fits them like a 40” fits you.

Well, I for one can't fit a 40" watch on my wrist.

That is a big, big Rolex.

Not my cup of tea, and I checked with the CFO, it is not in the budget this year.

I have a DSSD, it's ten years old, but it doesn't get any smaller. Nor does my J-SAR. My last big-category watch-buy was a cheapie - the looney-looking 'Piccard' from Spinnaker in cerulean blue, in fact, I'm wearing it now as I type this, and gravity is hauling my arm down to the lower edge of the keyboards while I'm working.

I'd like to treat myself to the H20 '10 Miles' watch which is even moas re loony, and, as far as I'm concerned, just about 'off the scale' as this Rolex 'offering' - if you can call $26K an 'offering'.

So, if you are out fishing in the ocean and drop that puppy off the side.... and you have a friend with an unmanned sub.... and it is less than 7 miles deep... you can call your buddy up and have him or her go look for it?

Well, you can do that for any watch. This one though would still be ticking.

I wear a Breitling Superocean heritage that is 46mm and couldn’t imagine a 50mm watch. The 46 is big but I’m a big guy with a large wrist and long arms so it looks proportionate.
