Weather varies a lot by area and the weather station gives me the info I want for my house. Most people do not care for it but I like having historical data to compare things like rainfall year to year.

A weather station is something I always wanted so I bought one a few years ago.

I have option 1. It works very well. As to the internet connection for remote viewing, it does not support 5gb wi-fi, only 2.5gb. When I switched to T-Mobiles 5gb network I lost connectivity. It still works on your remote screen, just not on wi-fi.

I had a T-Mobile Home Internet Gateway. You can dive into the settings and create separate 2.4G and 5G networks. I had to do that to get some of my devices to work reliably.
