The old days of family and friends gathered around the TV to watch the holiday bowl games on TV is long gone. We refuse to patronize / subscribe to ESPN among others. Most all games are no longer broadcast free. Sad really....

Watching the Rose Bowl. Just learned that Gabby Giffords is the Grand Marshall of the 2023 Tournament of Roses. Way to make it political, California. Good game though.

I don't give a hoot about the Rose Bowl, but my wife and her two friends are there, just to the right of the Penn State goal posts, 12 rows up.

So, here I am trying to catch a glimpse of those three ladies acting pretty crazy just so I can say "I saw you on TV!"

Sighhhhhh, the things we do for the spouse.

Glad to see that Miss. State pulled a win out of the hat against Illinois. Mike Leach would be pleased. Smile

Speak for yourself. Watched 2 bowl games today and 2 bowl games Saturday with my Dad and his GF. Most of my friends and neighbors have watched at least 1 bowl game as a family.

Congratulations to Tulane!

This was a little personal for me. Over the course of my career as a tech I've serviced dorm elevators, atm's, file servers, pc's, laptops and laser printers at Tulane when working for 4 different companies over the span of 25 years.

This past summer I was offered a contract position by a major copier company to repair copiers at all Tulane University and Tulane medical center locations.

I had to turn the job down over health issues.

The win today brought back memories of this Tulane-LSU game I went to back in 1973.

This is my Notre Dame fan coming out in me, but I love it when USC loses.

Boy, the bottom fell out of Utah when they lost their starting QB.

It was a good game, though and I am sure my wife and her friends enjoyed it, though I know it was Cold (we're Floridians, so "cold" is relative I guess) but I expect they'll be bubbling over with their enjoyment of that game.

I liked the class the players of both sides exhibited.

This has been a remarkable season given how far both Tulane and TCU have gone through from last year, to this year.

I hope TCU has enough gas left in the tank to compete with Georgia because history has shown, a team like that, who laid it all out against Michigan, they'll need to dig deep to do it again.

TCU has been a Cinderella team, but in this case Cinderella didn't just loose a slipper at midnight. She got stripped naked and gang raped in the back seat of the pumpkin! Man the Dawgs, are something else.

I stand by earlier statement. Bama got screwed in this years BCS deal. I know. They should have won when it mattered but flukes are flukes. BUt TCU had absolutely no business being in this game. Ohio state rematch, Michigan or bama would have been a much better title game. I wonder how atrocious those 2nd half tv ratings were.
