My wife and I were watching Andy Griffith tonight and the episode focused on a high school reunion and yearbook. We both realized that neither of us kept our yearbooks. I only bought my senior year book (Class of '79), threw it away in the 90s. My wife threw away all four years, 10 years ago. Both of us have the same reason- no connection whatsoever to those years.

Did you keep yours?

Yup. Wife and I both have ours. Our school only did yearbooks for senior year. We graduated in '72.

I have mine, graduated HS in 1970. We moved my dad to a memory care center a couple of months ago, had to clean things out of his house. He had his HS yearbooks from the early 1940's. And, he had his fathers college yearbooks from around 1915.

Class of 88.
I’ve got mine but haven’t opened them since then.
I keep up with one friend from HS...most of the kids weren’t nice or friendly to me as I wasn’t from there and they all knew each other since they were babies. I moved there in the middle of 10 th grade.

Whoo, all the Gen-Xers! Right on. Got all mine. '86 in the mix right here!

More importantly, I kept my junior high yearbooks. That's because I won the cover contest in '82. That was my Warhol 15 minutes of fame. That late spring, everybody knew who I was and wanted me to sign their book.

96 here, still have mine, wife still has hers (same class).

I keep them for the memory notes written in the covers. It's fun to look back every now and then.

I have mine (Class of ‘95). I really haven’t looked at them in years.

A few years ago, I got drunk with a High School buddy and looked through his copy of our yearbook. It was a lot of fun.

This goes to show that booze makes a great conduit for nostalgia.

Class of '62 (famous year?)

Yeah, still have it, but out of a class of 28 people, only about 60% are still around.
