Class of '62

Gave yearbook to my Mother she's into keeping things like that....I graduated from a small school graduation class of 19. Got drafted in '63 and lived in 10 different states until '86 before moving back home.

Like the old saying goes you can never go back home again. I haven't seen, talked to, or heard from any of my childhood friends as I was not close to any of them.

I have several of them--I know where the one for my Senior year is. I went to high school with some fairly famous people: Ivan Boesky (junk bonds); Ruth Laredo nee Meckler (classical pianist); and George Zweig (co-founder of the Quark Theory). Me? I was a nobody.

Class of ‘88. Our school only do Senior year. I made a mistake of not ordering a copy. I was glad to get hold of a copy a year later from one of the school admin. Still have my copy in my hobby room. Even showed it to my son who is now in Sophomore High.

Someone once offered to buy one of mine, because it has a photo of Jerry Garcia in it.
"Bring me the head of Jerry Garcia!"

Wife and I have ours and boxes of new ones. We were in the same class. She organizes the class reunion every 5 years and there's always a few people who buy one every reunion.

I have mine from the last 3 years of high school. The school I attended for my freshman year didn't have annuals. My wife lost hers in a house fire.

Class of '72.

I've got mine somewhere in the house. They came in handy one time. I was at a wedding of a longtime friend I went to grade school with and I ended up talking to a guy for 30 minutes that I "apparently" went to high school with. I had zero memory of him. I got home, found the yearbook and looked him up. Sure enough, we were in the same class. I remembered him when I saw his yearbook photo. The funny thing is that I will never forget him now.

I still have mine. SLUH '83

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown
