School reunions, High school, college med, dental, welding, what ever
I graduated high school in 1991

Was excited to attend the 5 year reunion in 1996 but was unable as I was away for school. Was going to attend the 10 year reunion in 2001 but it was abruptly canceled at the last moment.

After that I lost all interest. They had a 25 year a few years back and it looked like about 30 people showed up out of a class of 500.

I actually still keep in touch with several classmates from high school to this day and am good friends with them.

Class of ‘75. I went to the 10 year reunion and it was a drag. The few I’ve kept up with, I really don’t see eye to eye with anymore. They’re nice people but don’t know anything about life outside the big city. I got the hell away from Houston as quickly as possible and have spent as little time back there as I can manage.

Nope. Never attended. I only had a few close friends in HS and and they live further away from our HS city, and we seldom communicate. I never saw a reason to spend the time and money to attend. College for me was mostly night school so nothing there. Strangely, I've begun to get missives from some distant HS acquaintances and I do enjoy that.

I went to a small military boarding school for high school and attend a lot of events there. If it wasn’t for military school I genuinely believe I’d be dead or in jail.

Not interested. In fact, I didn’t even bother going to my high school or college graduation ceremonies.

I detested high school, did just enough work to get by, and never had any desire to reunite with anybody. Nobody from there ever tried to contact me, either. Even if I changed my mind right now, the geographical distance is now too great.

72 in my class in 1988. I like most of em, show up when there’s a reunion announced.

Well there is definitely a trend here,

I am glad I asked.

So there is a "type" that like and enjoy shooting and guns.
And
A "type" that don't like reunions.

I went to my 30th high school reunion in 2016, and I thought it was pretty fun. There were some old faces that I knew all the way back from elementary school, and it was a laid back casual affair.

The 10th one in 1996 was a little more formal. I went to that one too. I brought two of my close friends in case there was no one I wanted to talk to. One friend absolutely did NOT want to go. He's antisocial who didn't have a lot of friends in high school, but I forced him to go. While he was there, he bumped into one of our old classmates—a woman I wasn't that familiar with. They clicked, started dating, and they now live together to this day. So, you never know what could happen at those things. It's kinda like going to the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance in Back to the Future, no? I still take credit for their relationship, even though they might not acknowledge it. Wink

I graduated with a class of 91. Thirty two boys were in the military with 15 in Vietnam. About 25 are now deceased.

I was in charge of the 50th and send out emails on each classmates birthdays and keep everyone informed of deaths in the class and families.

It is important to me and seems to be to most of my classmates.

Never been either, but I'm only up to my 20th this year. I only talk to one friend from school regularly, so I doubt they even know where to find me. They wouldn't talk to me then, I feel no need to put myself in a similar situation now.

Went to my 5&10 year reunion. I keep up with three people in my HS on FB. I’ve literally run into one of them when I was back home visiting.

I moved there when I was 16 and they don’t take kindly to outsiders in the clannish Appalachian mountains.

I could care less about the whole lot of them. It was funny to see the big captain of the football team have to serve as bartender at one-he went to college and apparently failed at everything and was tending bar at the building that was rented for the social.

I graduated high school in 1973. I went to college via night school, no real class to reunion with.

The next reunion I go to will be my first.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

I graduated high school in 1966, and have never been to a reunion. I got along just fine in HS & I used to work with & have a few beers with old classmates, but I have no desire to go to a reunion. My wife graduated in '67. We went to her 10th reunion, and never went to another.

Not interested. High school I had been an adult for a decade and had already graduated to the clubs and night life in the city with my fake ID and hookups in the music industry. I was tired of high school drama in high school. I’ve talked to people who’ve gone to them. They all say the same things. Everyone is fat. Townies everywhere. And far too many where you can easily tell high school was the high point of their pathetic lives.

College I worked full time and when I finished those degrees and that hell, the last thing I ever want to do is set foot on that campus again. They send the alumni pandering crap wanting $ and into the bin it goes.

I don't even know if my class has had any reunions. We had a small class (49) in rural NH (but I repeat myself) and I don't keep up with any of those folks. I'm not sure what we'd talk about after 40+ years.

HS class of 1976 Went to my 25th. Realized that I have far less in common with them than I did 25 years prior. I've avoided any redux since.

Class of 1966....Finally attended the 40th due to being out of country or out of state for any of the others.... Was planning on number 50th but a major flood event for our area (41inches in the house in a no flood zone) cancelled the event. Had a good time.. Recognized some... Some not recognized even with name badges. ............................... drill sgt.
