I've never been to any of them
( Class of "75" )
One of my best buddies goes to most of them.

We had 176 people in my H.S. graduating class, I knew 15 and wouldn't recognize but 5 of them.

How many of you shooters attend your reunions ?

Am I Mr. Odd man out?

No, you're not. I was class of `76 and have never attended any of the reunions. I never informed them of any of my relocations, so they wouldn't even know how to reach me anymore.

I went to my 10 yr high school reunion. What a crazy weird (in an unpleasant way) event.

Never went to another reunion, high school or college.

I've reconnected to a few friends via FaceBook, and that is plenty.

Class of '78.

I've never been to a reunion of my high school.

I did go to a college open house day which is sort of like a reunion but for everyone who went there. It was o.k.

I went to a couple. Most of the people I'd call friends weren't there and the people that were there have no recollection of how horrible they were back then.

I was class of '62, have never been to a reunion. I think it was 1997, 35th , that I did go to the first evening get together. My best friend was one of the organizers and talked me into it. Recognized a few of the people, was still friends with some.

Never attended. The few friends I had in high school, I've kept in touch with. The majority of my closest friends came from college.

I went to my 5th and 10th. Haven’t been back since. We had a graduating class of 29 so most of us are in contact with one another often anyway

I went to 5yr, it was weird.
Fell asleep about 2hr before 10yr & didn't make it.
Went to 15yr & it was ok.
Didn't have 20yr due to covid bullshit, I think we were supposed to have a 21yr but I didn't hear about it until after.

I'm from & still live in a rural area. I see quite a few classmates somewhat frequently. The ones I'll stop & talk to are the same ones I was friendly with in HS. I don't get to see my close friends often enough to care about the rest.

I had a graduating high school class of almost 800 people. I have not attended any of the reunions. I keep touch with people mainly via FB. God Bless Smile

Class of 73 so 50th is this year. I've never been to any of them but they got my email address from my wife via Face Book this year. I can't count the ways I hate that fucking platform! After I had a conversation with the wife that left absolutely no room for misunderstandings about giving out my email to anyone who asks for it I politely declined their invitation and told them to delete my email from their list. High school does not hold a lot of fond memories for me.

I have a big one coming up (50) but not sure I want to go.
Kind of depressing to see how we have aged and not to mention having to compare lives and success/failure.
Even more so hearing of those who passed.
Never went to any of them in the pat but did consider but just never made it.
I keep up a bit with a best friend from HS but nothing other than that.
HS/College/young adult was the best time in my life and perhaps it is better just remembering that way.

Nope.
Reunions while a fun idea are the bastion for those whose lives peaked as a teenager and hollywood script writers. I made more lasting friendships in college and beyond, high school was simply a requirement to get to the next step in life; could not wait to graduate and move on.
I'm still amazed at how nuts some students were when the Josten's catalog came out and people buying class rings and other jewelry....for high school Big Grin

I have only attended one - the fifty year reunion. Our class only had 29 members, but 10 of them went to college. That is a pretty high percentage for a rural school in Tennessee.

All of us went to the same school for 12 years together and most still live in the same area. The reunion was kind of sad because you get to see how many future dreams were shattered, many through no fault of their own. The melting pot of old age was very evident. The rich kids, poor kids, social outcasts, prima-donnas - all mixed together into one big mass of gray hair, health problems, and regrets of life.

Never have. Had very few actual friends in HS, and they've all moved away. Never participated in school sports or any other school functions.

Almost attended the 50-year reunion a few years back. Looked at the list of verified attendees and realized I recognized all of about two or three names on the list. Looked at the list of activities and realized I had zero interest in any of them. Finally: The dates conflicted with something my wife and I had already scheduled. Decided to take a pass.

If it'd been a one-night affair, meet-and-greet, dinner and drinks at a venue nearby, and didn't conflict with anything: Sure. Might have been interesting. But they'd turned this thing into some kind of two-three day extravaganza. Nope.

Class of '75 here. Never been to one & doubtful I'll ever go to one. I don't think of my high school years fondly & there's no one I need to see.

PS @ bendable, It seems to me from many of your posts that you & I have many similarities in our lives. Just sayin'...

I was class of 1976.

I've enjoyed the reunions I've attended and in fact organized our last one...40 years. I plan to organize our 50th too coming up in another few years.

Oddly, I wasn't one of the popular kids in high school, but I've noticed that all that clique shit has mostly gone away now that we're old farts. Big Grin

Went to my 10th. Class of 99'. Was neat to see some of the people. But probably won't do another. We were a super small country private school. I think there were only like 21 in my graduating class.

I arrested quite a few of my HS classmates. That might affect my popularity at reunions.
