So as if expensive housing wasn’t enough, let’s make them buy even more expensive cars. The politicians in the other 49 states should notice how they take good care of their constituents out there.

Exactly. I remember seeing a article not long ago saying that they were requesting people only charge off peak hours. As it was stressing the power grid. Train how you intend to Fight Remember - Training is not sparring. Sparring is not fighting. Fighting is not combat.

The writer did a nice job on the headline. "California set to make history..." by being the second state to ban the sales of gas powered cars. Sorry California, New York already did it a year ago. Your move lib one upper!

That's pretty much my reaction too. I just don't care about Commiefornia anymore. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Remember what the bastards did in the early 70's. They had to have "special" emission controls on the cars sold there. So don't sell them short, they are relentless in pursuit on anything they do no matter what the impact. Awake not woke

No, they aren't. It's not technologically or economically feasible. Some are just parroting the politically correct mantra so they can get subsidies and not be punished by commie governments.

Me too, and to Santa Rosa county FL as well ! And now goofball Gavin is playing ads saying leave Florida and come to freedom land California?! Lol. Yeah no. Everyone I know that has escaped in last several years can cite chapter and verse reasons and the Sacramento 1 party supermajority rule is the reason. The leftists can pretty much pass any insane rule they want now. And it takes years if not decades to even get a court hearing and that’s a crap shoot. At least some of the maniacal gun laws are getting peeled back only due to court case wins. But it’s taken like 10-20 years.

I heard on the radio this morning that Washington, always eager to match California's wackiness, is doing the same thing. Effective 2030.

For the first time in its history, California’s population has begun to shrink. “…the primary driver of the state’s population loss over the past couple years has been the result of California residents moving to other states.” https://calmatters.org/comment...-population-decline/ These types of laws in the People Republic of California will make it even worse. ——————————————— The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. A friend of mine posted this on FB of a battery replacement at 70K miles for a Cheverlot VOLT. Enjoy and God Bless "Always legally conceal carry. At the right place and time, one person can make a positive difference."

So I'm wondering: 1. If an EV car catches fire, it's hard to extinguish until the fuel is gone? With all EV, and continued accidents, more EV fires anticipated? Perhaps with considerably more collateral damage? 2. If I want a small car for convenience, what kind of range will I get w/ a small car? Today it seems about 100 miles per charge. That's not really enough for me, especially I'm taking day or weekend trips. What a hassle to charge every day. 3. What if I want to travel across states? Say a trip to Wyoming / SD? And let's say these other states are slower to adopt EV infrastructures. Am I going to have to drive somewhere to rent an ICE vehicle? And how much is an EV SUV going to cost? What kind of range will I get? Am I going to be able to drive on sand and mud? Go through water? Over rocks? Will COG be lower or higher? 4. ICE is generally slower, dollar for dollar. So, I'm guessing we'll have all kinds of idiots now in the zoomy EV's? Perhaps upticks in speed related accidents? And more road rage with faster idiots? I don't know - I don't think the world is ready to go green. To me, this will be one of the larger mistakes mankind will be make, in retrospect. This concept of climate change may end badly for us. We're either going to back away from it, or it will be tyrannically pursued. Ironic if going green puts us back into the dark ages. VIN comes back to a 2012, much longer than they want you to own your car.

That's just a quote right? He's going to dump the car? How much is the car worth at this point? Geez, you can spend a little more and buy a new Tesla. If that's typical, EV TCO less than ICE is fucking BS. I've never, ever had a car where I've spent $30K in maintenance by 70K miles. Staring back from the abyss |
Heard that on the news today. What I'm curious about, is if and when they implement this, will they ticket out of staters driving through? This is all just idiocy. There's coal trains going through town here every day, and every time I see one I say, "There goes another load of electric vehicle fuel". Fookin' morons. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.
