Woke up to 54 degrees this morning. Blue skies with a forecast high of 80.

People who say (and usually with undue enthusiasm) "I love the summer!" - I just don't get it. I abhor the summertime, endure it.

We're not through with hot weather, of course, but this is an indication of things to come. For now, though, I have the windows of my house open and I can hear the birds singing.

Beautiful down here in Ft. Walton Beach too. Almost nice enough where we can take the boys for a walk without burning their paws. The summer heat bothers me more every year…

Same thing here, Para! I am debating whether to load up my backpack and take a hike along the bike trail, or climb on my bike and take to the trail.

Anyway, thanks for all you do for this community!!!

Up here, our summers are like your fall...so, they're pretty enjoyable-with rare forays into the 90s. Our fall season (most of the time) is not great-think 25 mph cold wind off Lake Superior, with fog and drizzle or rain...and first snow usually by Halloween.

Not complaining, mind you...but summers are really appreciated here!

I’m not a fan of summer either, and it was a particularly brutal hot one this year with little rain for months, we are FINALLY getting some much needed rain.

Fall is coming and if it could be like early October all year long, I’d be happy.

We moved to Arkansas from Arizona. I absolutely despise the summers in Arkansas. We are in a spell of lower humidity right now and I'm loving it.

Any morning when the day's weather is such that I can open the windows is a good morning.

It's a simple pleasure to enjoy a hot cup of coffee out on my deck, taking in a still morning, with a little bit of fall's crispness in the air.

Summer is one thing... but what we've had in metro ATL the past 30 days or so has been horrendous. A month straight of yucky, rainy, muggy, 82* and 99% humidity at 6 am kinda weather.

Today was 58* at the kids' bus stop at 645, high pressure, and not a cloud in the sky. Lovely.

Beautiful day just north of Tucson. 2" of rain the last few days has kept things bright green and growing. 78° right now and a few high clouds. Wonderful.

Last week was 107-110 all week. Dog days for sure. The full moon brought a cool feel to the air.

I'll take snow and ice all day.

I like the extended daylight hour, good hiking and camping weather in the mountains above 10,000 feet, and temperate nights.
Other than that it's just too frikin hot most of the time. 95-100°+ for 2 months straight will make you crazy.
