My neighbor had her dog show up with a bra in his mouth, nobody ever posted losing or missing one.
We had a cat who would leave gifts at the Mrs. car door. Parts of dead animals mostly.

Our indoor cat once stole a cheap Zebra click-button-type ballpoint pen from the kitchen counter. She hid it somewhere only she knew, and gave it back to us, once piece at a time, over the course of a couple of months. Spring, ink cartridge, top, push button, and barrel, all disassembled and returned.
Our outdoor cat brought me a chipmunk she had recently caught/killed one morning. When I didn't take it inside, she sat and ate it right in front of me. An equally disturbing and fascinating thing to watch.
