A friend from our days living in Florida asked me to make an urn for their 15 y/o dog who passed recently.

It is made from Norfolk Island Pine, native to Australia but grows in Florida and Hawaii do the tropical climate. The red spots are the limbs that grow to the center of the tree. I purchased a threading jig that I now use on all my urns. The top is now secure even if falls over.

That is absolutely beautiful, and an honor to your friend's loyal companion.

I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.

I realize that is a gift, but how much would one of these cost if you were going to sell them?

That is really nice. Is the lid a different wood?

Beautiful work, sig229-SAS.

I have a sister that lives in north Georgia. Her good friend and neighbor owns a sawmill and has a number of hardwoods. I'm picking up a truck load this Sunday. I'm excited to say the least.
