A while ago Eliz Warren called for one and now it's Beto. A few years ago Eric Holder wanted one on race.

Got me thinking, wtf is that? What are the logistics? Is there a moderator? Who are the participants and how are they selected?

Somebody should ask these bone heads for a few details. Maybe that would shut them up.

Yes, it's two words from the English language, with a total of 20 characters, and one space.

A 'national conversation' is where liberals lecture conservatives about a topic, telling them how wrong they are and silencing any rebuttal.

Pretty much the exact opposite of what a real conversation is.

My country, ' tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From every mountainside let freedom ring!
My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free, thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills;
My heart with rapture thrills, like that above.
Let music swell the breeze,
And ring from all the trees sweet freedom's song;
Let mortal tongues awake;
Let all that breathe partake;
Let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong.
Our fathers' God, to thee,
Author of liberty, to thee we sing;
Long may our land be bright
With freedom's holy light;
Protect us by thy might, great God, our King.

Yep, but don't forget the insults added to the lecturing.

It just means the DNC gave the MSM some new talking points to hammer on for awhile.

Yeah they want CNN to hold a completely tilted and slanted "townhall" show and call that the "national conversation".

Oh, my, yes. Gotta have those insults aimed at the right. It wouldn't be a national conversation without that stuff. Essential, I tell you. Essential.

Yep, but y'all forgot that they do it without any logical arguments.

'national conversation' is Orwellian double-speak for 'sit there - don't talk - let me lecture you'

Of course a country with no borders couldn't very well have a "national" conversation. We'd have to open it up to anyone from anywhere.

Strikes me that Beto might be way too jingoistic.

It’s that thing when leftists tell the rest of us we’re wrong about something and call us names when we voice any dissent to their proclamations of righteousness.

It's a shorthand reference for the level of sound generated by a particular topic within an echo chamber. When the level is at eight or above, it is a "national conversation."
