Just a minute of the late Guy Clark to introduce the subject. For me:

My F-150 Pickup. It's my 6th one, so I guess I'm pretty well convinced that they are "stuff that works;"

Wrangler 13 MWZ blue jeans. All my adult life. Starched and creased--rodeo style. They work;

DeWalt 18 V driver/drill. Battery lasts a long time. With the second battery supplied, you can go all day. Batteries recharge quickly, so even if you work the hell out of it, having a fully charged battery is easy. I've got a lot of tools from DeWalt;

Fender and Martin guitars. I don't have a collection of guitars; I've got 3. A 2013 Strat American Deluxe, a Gibson ES-339 Studio, and a Martin 000-15M. The Fender and Martin are flawless in fit and finish. They both sound great. Had to send the Gibson back because of QC issues;

Our Dyson DC-25 vacuum cleaner. We've had it for several years now. We own a German Shepherd Dog. We couldn't ask for a better vacuum;

Snap-On combination wrenches. My tools are a mixture of primarily Snap-on and Cornwell. I believe that for ratchets and many other hand tools, you can save some money and buy other brands and be happy. I don't think anyone builds combination wrenches (or fuel line wrenches) as good or as good-looking as Snap-on;

White's boots. I've got 3 pairs right now. They fit, wear well, and they can be rebuilt;

Weber Grills. I've got two, an old kettle grill, and a Genesis gas grill. Perfect;

John Deere X Series Garden Tractor. This is speculation, I haven't had mine long enough to really put it to the test. My brother has an X-500 that he's owned for years now and he calls it "the best thing I've ever purchased." Good enough for me.

Good response, Hamden. Come to think of it, I've had a P229 for 10 years. Never once FTF or FTE

My Glock 19- no need to really elaborate, other than zero FTFs or FTEs.

My 2010 Toyota Tacoma- other than routine maintenance, this truck has needed nothing. 100% reliable.

Sota Star Sapphire turntable. Hand made, purchased new in 1989. Replaced the belt several times and a few upgrades in cartridges, but otherwise nothing else. Never stopped working. Used constantly for over 20 years, occasionally in the last five, and it still has perfect pitch, no wow and flutter. Amazing machine.

New Balance shoes- my everyday shoe, I have half dozen pairs.

Blazer cigar torch- I have two of them in case one runs out of butane. Been using them for over ten years, no failures whatsoever.

Well, yeah but...

Resistol hats, as long as you buy at least a 10x, that’s probably true of all the major (non-custom) hat makers

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

I got a woman I love
She's crazy and paints like God
She's got a playground sense of justice
She won' take odds
I got a tattoo with her name
Right through my soul
I think everything she touches
Turns to gold
