This happened to me many times. My response was “whatever I F****** want!” Be prepared, I went through several phases including low self worth. After working almost all my life, I felt like I was on unemployment or welfare. The wife and I reminded ourselves this is why we put up with a job with a pension. This is why we pounded our 401Ks. My wife had a very stressful job. I tried to get her to quit for several years. She used to have a bubbly and contagious laugh that disappeared, it took over a year to get it back. This is where you heal from all the crap you’ve seen and shit you had to put up with. Congrats on your retirement, find things that bring you joy and enjoy every minute!
