Correct answer. The local mental health center should have a 24 hour emergency number. Much better solution than calling the police.

You need to call 911 EACH AND EVERY TIME HE GOES OFF. Even if just verbal, this is threatening and abusive behavior and most likely is covered under your states domestic violence laws.
Laws vary by state. Call 911 each time, a psych hold is in order at least. Get a lawyer yesterday. Reach out to as many local resources as possible, the internet is OK for this, but because of differing laws, not great. It isn't landlord/tenant.

duke762Thank you again guy's. Special Thanks to sigmonkey!
He's extremely narcissistic and we believe he may have early onset dementia. He actually agrees with this. Unfortunately Dementia runs in my family real bad. He cannot manage his own affairs or hold a job for any length of time. 3 years ago, when he got counseling they kept waffling on a diagnosis. First it was schizophrenia, next it was Ritalin psychosis then he was lost to the system again when the state money ran out. He applied at least twice for SSD and was turned down. He has since gotten off of Ritalin. He started on it at 8yrs old thanks thanks to the school system. Yeah, he's always been different.
His life blows up about every 2 years. About 3 years ago he was so out of it he couldn't even pack while being evicted. Thanks to his sister he saved a few things. He sat on the floor and watched as they threw his stuff out.
His drivers license was suspended 10 years ago. He's been in jail many times for driving while suspended, and was on an ankle bracelet for failure to appear, and has a domestic violence conviction. A Judge once told him the that he was the stupidest drug free white boy he had ever seen. Jesus....
When you see your child like this, it rips your guts out. You keep asking yourself, where you went wrong, you can't really help the situation but you will try.
Angry, guilty, hopeless and heart broke.....all at the same time.

TRIO"...Remember, the officers aren't there in your home, so they're not seeing what you're seeing...."
A relative was going through a rough patch with spouse. He told her that he was installing a security system with cameras INSIDE and outside. Even with that warning, she still acted up, but now being recorded. The divorce went smoothly due to the captured evidence.
Perhaps something to consider.
