I have a new outdoor unit from Lennox that is completely covered with a steel louvered rock shield. It is almost impossible to rinse with the hose as is. I am guessing the entire outer shield has to come off?

I've heard mention of covering the outside in a screen during the time the cottonwoods are snowing everything. Anyone done this? I am worried the screen could be too restrictive.

Cottonwoods are terrible around me.

Did you get an "Owners Manual" with the new install? That may help, but the installers may shed some light on the how, when, with, what with question.

I have a Lenox and yes, all that needs to come off to clean it.

I use the foamy stuff from Home Depot and then hose the shit out of it.
