If you have been avoiding the news lately. There is the potential of a major storm on Wednesday/Thursday. Make sure your snow removal equipment is in operating condition. It's too early to tell for sure though. Locally I have seen the potential for 20". Tune into your local weather and be prepared for the worst.

No, no, no, no... I'm supposed to go north to hunt one last time. Can't be having that on many levels.

Hmmm.. where I'm going is currently saying 3-5 inches. That's not an issue. But can I get there!

They should start a CONE OF Doom like for the hurricanes. Create tons of needless anxiety for the entertainment of those in the Sunbelt. I long for the days when snowstorms were a surprise. Maybe you got a day off from school and had a good snowball fight.

The weather channel isn't even making any predictions for my area, only saying a major storm event is possible Wed/Thu.

What ever you do keep that white ground covering up there and do not let any come down here. just 2 or 3 inches brings every thing to a grinding halt. Then locals do not know how to drive on dry roads much less ones with a dusting of snow...................... drill sgt.

A week ago we were going to have "the big one" in my AO. Ended up with 4" of slop.

Currently, the US model has light snow coming our way while the European model gives us 12+ inches on Thursday.
The weather people won't commit to anything until it's on top of us.

So far ours are saying 12 plus but a shift in track will change the amounts. Like I said. It's too early for sure but prepare for the worst. I dropped the mower deck and put the snow blower on the tractor today. I need to make sure the gas cans are topped off. We are stocked up on TP though...

We’re ok for TP and food. But dangerously low on Redbreast... Time to hit the store.

They're starting to lean toward 12"-18" for us on Thursday. I'm sure that will be adjusted again tomorrow.

Our local guy in Maryland is saying 18 inches. Which is a lot for here. I’m thinking 10 inches tops based on my vast meteorological experience and the gross overstating of all events weather related.

Either way, wife went shopping today so Taco Tuesday is still on!

Heeling -- I mean, healing -- pretty well, thank you. I walk around okay, but I'm not about to run again soon. And my basketball career is decidedly over. Wink

I'm free of "the boot," which is certainly a good thing given the 2"-4" snow predictions here.

God bless America.
