+1 I have a couple of those.

And that's the same one you'll find in the Asian grocery for half the price.

I don't know why.

I also have a Camp Chief 3-burner propane.
Propane is the "camping standard", but those little table-top Butane stoves are awfully convenient.

We have been using this:

Grilling on the gas weber and using the northern tool propane burner for non grillin cooking. Our generator doesn't run our electric stove so all our meals have been prepared outside. Its boils water fast, adjusts to a simmer or provides high heat for a wok if you are so inclined. We are still without power but certainly have not suffered in meal preparation.

I'd say propane because it is readily available and there are so damn many adapters available for stove sizes, fuel tank sizes, etc. The 1 lb. bottles are very easy to refill from a 20 lb. tank (yes, they can be completely filled) for a fraction of what they cost when purchased individually while the 20 lb. tanks can be easily and cheaply adapted to run stoves and/or lanterns for longer run times.

If you're just looking for a small, portable grill, then I'd highly recommend one of the Weber Q-series grills. We have the model 1200 in the camper and it is a simply amazing appliance. It uses the 1 lb. propane bottles or can be adapted to the larger propane tanks.

I have the old briefcase style Coleman. It's easily 30 plus years old. I can use white gas and propane. I dont think I will get another.
Even though people say its entry level it was the only stove back then compared to today's stoves.
To answer the.question I think you can use a propane stove in the house if you have ventilation. Consider that houses use propane for cooking all the time if they.dont have natural gas.

The new Camp Chef Pro series stoves are damn nice. Portable and built well. Totally versatile with all the accessories available. Not charcoal only propane. I've been considering one with the griddles as I've been wanting a nice portable flat top to take on my bbq catering events.
You can get a BBQ box accessory, pizza oven or use standard pots and pans. A little spendy as just the stove runs $300 and then the accessories of course. A flat top set up like what I want runs about $500.

I think I will wind up going with a commercial grade portable flat top in the end but the Camp Chef is a nice unit.
