These are the best, hands down. For small wiring projects these are perfect.

My old harbor freight cheapie broke a while back so I ordered this ^^^ one after seeing it here. WHAT A GREAT TOOL, well made, love it. Cool

AND, they're not that expensive. I NEVER buy tools at Harbor Freight as in the past I was always disappointed in the operation, quality or longevity of them. I pay the little extra premium for something good these days and preferably made in the US.

If it is single solid strand Household Wire the best way to strip it is to use a mini torch or lighter.

Get the plastic insulation hot then quickly wipe it off with a rag or layered paper towels.

This works really well also for that very thin wire you find in toys.

I have used a set of these for years. My first set were made by Klein but I am not sure that Klein makes them any longer.

Good luck

+1
.

I've used all sorts and have a pair like this from the 40's that I was given to use at work. After getting used to this type, I like it better.
