Ford CEO Endorses Trump Tariffs

In a very interesting interview today on Fox News, Ford CEO Jim Farley said he and his company fully endorse the Trump tariff program, saying it is the “right thing” for the country.

In the video clip below, Farley, whose EV strategy has been the target of tremendous criticism as it has caused upwards of $5 billion in annual losses to the company’s bottom line, boasts that his company has remained a mostly American manufacturer, only importing a small percentage of the parts that go into its cars. That reality, if accurate, would naturally give Ford a competitive advantage over fellow carmakers like GM, Stellantis, Toyota, Nissan and Volvo in a tariff-heavy business climate.

Well, first of all, Ford is really different. We make 80% in the U.S., more than any other manufacturing factory. We made 400,000 more vehicles than our next competitor, and that would fill up the entire island of Manhattan. That's how big of a gap we've made.

So look, we think this is really great for the country. We really support the President's initiative. We never left the Americas on car production, and so this moderation is reasonable. I think for mostly our competitors. They need more time, but at Ford we're in good shape. And this is the right thing to do. We really appreciate the dialog we've had with the President, but we have a lot more work to do with him and the team.

Tariffs will help our automotive industry due to the amount of tariffs foreign countries place on our vehicles being imported to them

Need more big business leaders to support the admin's position on tariffs, whether or not they like Trump. Decouple them if necessary. If you like Trump and support the tariffs, great. If you don't like Trump, American business leaders should still support tariffs. The ones that don't support the tariffs at least implicitly support slave wage labor as a benefit over US employment. It's all about the greed.

This CNN reporter tried to get him to blame Trump and made several attempts.
He very politely swatted her away. Worth the watch.

I have access to a backhoe and several hundred acres of woods...

The stock pays a 5+% dividend and is trying to find support at the $9 area. The OBV needs to turn up and break the downtrend line.

I've been rooting for Harley Davidson to endorse Trump tariffs and libtards start attaking HDs. Eventually they would deface a one percenter's bike and it'll be epic.

Mary Barra the CEO of GM did as well. She talked about all the meetings they have had with Trump as well.
