Oh, it's not that. It's that he went... without putting too fine a point on it... badly, and without the humans he dearly loved and trusted nearby, no doubt scared and panicked, surrounded by strangers that were doing things to him he did not understand and most certainly did not like.

It never gets easier. We love them all the same. Losing furkids is the worst. I'm sorry to hear of yours. Bentley looks like one cool customer. I'm sorry you lost him.
