There was a thread about the other, who was buried yesterday.

Within the last two hours two Concord NC officers and an NC Alcohol Law Enforcement (state level detective type officer) were shot. One of the Concord officers died.

Bad guy dead, based on what I’ve heard.

So very sad. RIP Officer.

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

Very, very sad, indeed. It's becoming all too common, too. Policing has always had its dangers. But this has gotten so out of hand. We're going to get to a point where no one wants to be a police officer. The hardness of hearts and the acceptableness of violence out there is staggering.

RIP brother. The DemocRAT trash have declared it open season on law and order with the “right to resist” bullshit. It started with Obama and it will only get worse.

Letting more criminals out of jail seems to have accomplished something, after all. Mad

To many EOW this year. Frown

The tv commercials from https://tunnel2towers.org/ tear my heart out seeing the families of officers, fire fighters and military torn apart.

RIP Brother. Between letting criminals back out on the street and the leftists actively encouraging these scum to resist and kill, I can't think of any reason why anyone would even consider starting out in LE work these days.

But did the bad guy suffer? As much as I wanted him to? When we hear them complaining the cops weren't calling the ambulance, they were too busy looking for salt shakers to pour on the wound as first aid...Then it'll be enough. Maybe.

This is becoming all too common.

I did not know this Officer personally but I saw him numerous times at the Walmart and Dunkin Donuts right across the street from the Corporate Suites where I stayed.
(It is actually the Concord/Kannapolis line right off Roxie Street)

Prayers out to family, friends and co-workers.
It is always tragic but it seems a lot worse around the holidays.

Rest in peace brother. Next week marks the 40th anniversary of the line of duty murder of my former partner and friend, we should always honor and remember these sacrifices. Always. Frown

RIP, officers. I'm not a cop, but my Best Friend is. He's been shot, too, and survived it--still carries the bullet in his liver. I do worry about him, as well as all other LEOs.

My wife told me about an organization called Running4heros and this event they are having in Concord tonight. Outside of my AO but wanted to pass it along. We plan to go for a walk this evening around here at that time.

A kid named Zechariah Cartledge carries a flag and runs a mile each time a first responder is killed to honor their sacrifice. This flag is then presented to the family of the deceased. I’m not affiliated with them but as a retired LEO I appreciate his efforts.
